HOW TO BECOME A BETTER LOVER – BODY
Unfortunately, all too few parents are sufficiently comfortable with their own bodies and sufficiently secure in their own sexuality to be helpful to their young children. Few are able to let their children see them naked, fewer still are able to talk about sexuality and to respond to the child’s curiosity about sex. Because of this, better and more explicit sexual education is needed both for children and for their parents. This education will not lead to a breakdown in the ‘fabric of society’; on the contrary, it will improve the relationships between people and will help men to become better, more considerate lovers.
In adolescence and adulthood, our attitudes to our sexuality continue to be distorted by the fantasy world induced by the cinema, by many best-selling novels, and by iocker-room’ discussions between men. The mythology of male sexuality is emphasized in these experiences. It has recently been explored by Bernie Zilbergeld in his book Male Sexuality. American men, and many European men, continue to believe in myths about their sexuality in spite of the more open discussion about sexuality which has become permissible in the past decade or so.
